Animals in Distress spay or neuter dogs and cats
before they are allowed to go to their new homes.

Don't add to the tremendous overpopulation problem!
Have your pet spayed or neutered.

One cat or dog who has offspring and whose offspring have offspring can be responsible for the birth of 50 to 200 kittens or puppies in one year! Almost everyone loves puppies and kittens, but some people lose interest when these animals grow up.
As a result, thousands of cats and dogs of all ages and breeds are left to suffer as strays. Rarely surviving for more than a few years on their own, strays die painfully by starvation, disease, or injuries.

There are 2,500,000 strays on the streets, if you find homes for your puppies and kittens you are using homes that the animal rescue charities desperately need.
Please neuter your pet.

The sooner you spay your female, the better her health will be in the future. As long as a kitten or puppy is 2 months old and weighs more than two pounds, he or she can be neutered or spayed. The longer a female goes unspayed the more likely she is to develop mammary tumors or uterine infections. A female that is spayed before sexual maturity (6 to 9 months of age) has one seventh the risk of developing mammary cancer. A male cat or dog neutered by 6 months of age is prevented from suffering from hernias, prostate disease and testicular cancer.

Regardless of the age when spayed or neutered, your pet will remain a caring, loving and protective companion. Neutering reduces the urge to breed, and that has a calming effect on many animals. Both neutered male canines and felines tend to stop roaming and fighting and they stop marking the boundary of their territory with their urine.

Neutering is good for your pet, since sterilized pets tend to live an average of two to three years longer than unsterilized pets. Your pet will not gain weight if you provide exercise and monitor food intake.

Summary.

In seven years one female cat and one male cat and their offspring can produce 420,000 kittens.
In seven years one female dog and and one male dog and their offspring can produce 4,372 puppies.
Spayed and neutered pets live longer and healthier lives.

We provide a service of cut-price neutering for those who cannot pay the full price.

Don't allow your pet to have any unnecessary offspring.
